I am a Maclaren mom, I have been since my oldest was born in 1996. This is the first time I've owned a Techno and I am very pleased. This stroller is very well-made and comfortable-- nice fabric, nice details like a reversible seat pad, adjustable handles, big wheels with shock absorbers, a nice big canopy, flat recline, a newborn head cushion, and everything beautifully color-coordinated. It is noticeably heavier than the less feature-packed Maclarens I've owned in the past, so if you are a city mom looking for a stroller to hop on and off the bus with, you may want one of the lighter Maclarens. But for strolling with the occasional need to fold it and take it with you, the Techno is perfect. Three small gripes: (1) it is impossible to unlatch and open with one hand when it's folded without some major gymnastics, (2) the basket is hard to access when the seat is reclined even one notch, and (3) hanging even a couple of not-too-heavy bags on the handles makes this stroller extremely unstable.
