I bought the Volo first but did not like the bad shade design (the mount was very flimsy and I could forsee how the shade would not stay in place any more after a few more uses). It is nice, light-weight, and durable, but you can't put a drink from a restaurant in it. It's way to flimsy for that. That's why you only see bottles in the pictures. Other than that, no complaints. Buy Maclaren Universal Organizer - Carbon!

I am a Maclaren mom, I have been since my oldest was born in 1996. This is the first time I've owned a Techno and I am very pleased. This stroller is very well-made and comfortable-- nice fabric, nice details like a reversible seat pad, adjustable handles, big wheels with shock absorbers, a nice big canopy, flat recline, a newborn head cushion, and everything beautifully color-coordinated. It is noticeably heavier than the less feature-packed Maclarens I've owned in the past, so if you are a city mom looking for a stroller to hop on and off the bus with, you may want one of the lighter Maclarens. But for strolling with the occasional need to fold it and take it with you, the Techno is perfect. Three small gripes: (1) it is impossible to unlatch and open with one hand when it's folded without some major gymnastics, (2) the basket is hard to access when the seat is reclined even one notch, and (3) hanging even a couple of not-too-heavy bags on the handles makes this stroller extremely unstable. The review below was from 2007 and our daughter still loves this stroller. We've since added the Phil and Ted double stroller to our ride list but the MacLaren XLT is still her favoite at two years and four months old and 36 inches tall and 35 pounds.

We just received this stroller two days ago. It is beautiful and looks every bit the price tag. We are somewhat worried about the size of the stroller because we live in the city. That said, the extra seat cushion is ultra comfortable and our daughter literally giggled when we put her in for a test-sitting!

The color combination is very chic and the wheels move smoothly even when pushed quickly down uneven city street.

I do wish the hood isn't so wide and high but it does offer uva/uvb protection and that was the main reason we choose this model over the lighter and probably more city friendly Maclaren strollers. Buy Maclaren Techno XLR Buggy Stroller Charcoal and Burnt Orange!

My husband is 6 feet and the handles are high enough so he doesn't have to slouch. The 5 pt harness is nice - the release sometimes is tricky - but I'd rather have it be tricky than too easy. That would make me nervous that the kids could figure it out! The storage underneath is great - the sides are high so things don't fall out:) I didn't give it 5 starts only because I haven't figured out how to fold it, if possible, with one hand- which sometimes us moms need to do!:)Buy Maclaren Triumph Stroller Navy!

I don't think this organizer is that useful. I bought it for the drink holders, but they're not very safe. There's just a strip at the bottom to hold your drink, so you can't throw other things in there like your cell phone or keys. The large mesh pocket has a velcro opening, going in and out of it can wake up a sleeping baby. The best part is it's light, easy to navigate and sturdy. My husband ran over it backing up the car and crashed the wheels, we just strected the wheels out again and it's up and running, nothing happened. I can't think of a better test!
One bad part though, I don't know if anyone else have the same problem but when you recline it, the kid should be giving all his weight back to hold it in the recline position (and not move), otherwise it pops back up again.
